FAQs

How long does a programme take?

Grief Recovery is not the same as therapy – once we have completed the process, you will be able to use it for other losses in the future. An individual Grief Recovery Method programme is 7 one-hour sessions long, possibly with additional sessions for multiple losses. This would be discussed at the beginning and at the end of the process and completely optional. Participation in a group programme is 8 one-hour sessions long, while the Helping Children with Loss programme is 4 sessions of 2.5 hours each. Depending on individual needs, we may preface the programme with a talking session or do individual talking sessions as desired.

How much does it cost?

An individual programme of 7 sessions costs €625, which includes the cost of the book. The group programme rate is calculated individually by group, depending on the venue. The cost of a Helping Children with Loss programme is €419, which includes the required book and 10 hours of session work. Individual, ad hoc sessions depending on need can be added to any one of the programmes. I am willing to make house calls at an additional charge.

I need to find help for my child. When are your Helping Children with Loss courses?

Helping Children with Loss courses are organised periodically depending on demand. However, we can also work through a Helping Children with Loss programme individually. Please email libby@grmspecialist.uk or call +352 20 60 08 34 to inquire directly about the dates of the next programme or arrange an individual meeting.

I couldn't do my homework! What now?

Each programme has “heart work” which requires the time and effort of the participant in order to be effective. Investing time in your heart work is absolutely essential to your own recovery. There are times, however, when we are not able to complete the work for a variety of reasons. Should this happen, please let me know at least 24 hours in advance so that we can cancel our session. Alternatively, you could choose to do a talking session that week. This will be invoiced separately in addition to your programme fee.
